Riding It Out

Some more flowers for my winter garden…

I’m still taking things easy, although we did all the shopping today.
My Babe is coming to the end of his holiday, so I think I’ll start up my “work” things next week as well.
Until then – there are books to read!

Sweet Bean has been getting used to work, although he finishes after the last bus home.
His job provider paid for an adult tricycle for him, with fluoro clothing and helmet. Very nice of them, and should have been good.
Until we got a distressed call to pick him up…

I had thought it was because he hasn’t had a lot of experience riding bikes (hence the choice of a trike), but when we had a proper look at it today, we could see that the frame is buckled. Apparently the bike place told him that when he picked it up (so why did they let him take it like that??) – the seat and handlebars don’t line up. I got on it to have a go…I only travelled about two feet, while the front wheel meandered to the right, completely unaffected by the lack of movement of the handlebars. Either it can’t be tightened properly, or we don’t have the correct tools.
Or both.
The back brakes don’t really brake, but the front ones do. I don’t like to think what could have happened if he’d pushed through the other night, and had to “steer”, and possibly apply the brakes, down the hills on the way home.

It looks good at first glance, though.

He’s an adult, so he will have to sort it out.
I can’t stomp in as Mum, and Have Words… 😑
But I am so glad that he is OK ❀

Speaking of bicycles…

Dancing (As Though No-one Is Watching)

I haven’t been able to do floor exercises (or a range of other exercises…) for a while – too hard to do without working shoulders. This has been a bit annoying, and I’ve let things go. I think, though, that I could just exercise the Mr Bean way – dance.

I’d use a different soundtrack and choreography. Probably.
It’s about just using what’s available and enjoying the moment…

Here’s another “dancing” inspiration…
