Autumnal Spring

Hasn’t the rain been lovely?
We were in town yesterday, and on two separate occasions a complete stranger spoke to us, just to say how much we needed the rain. We were out in the (light) rain at the time, trying to get back to the car…parking in the city is a problem.
But we were happy to agree with the sentiment!

I know it’s spring.
But some days, lately, have been like an echo of autumn (or,I was thinking yesterday, an early English summer…)
There are fallen leaves all over.

Spring green.

Autumn red.

A little bit of both…

I’ve been having a mini-tussle lately with the Government Department (Which Shall Not Be Named…) – just another roundabout with people who know nothing, or just part of something. It’s been frustrating, and turning something that was supposed to make things easier into something that would have been much harder than it was before.
Thankfully, when I went in to talk to someone face to face, we were able to sort things out.
I know where I stand now. Which is always a good thing.

Sometimes, the days seem dry, and crackly, and drab.
And then a green leaf peeks through, and you can see spring again.

“Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new a day with no mistakes in it yet.” – Anne of Green Gables (L.M.Montgomery)

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”
– 2 Corinthians 4:16
