Not to get too belaboured about it all,
but I have to say the weather lately seems to bear a similarity to life, as a whole…
We had a sudden rain/hailstorm this afternoon, after a day of heat, humidity, and the possibility of drying a full load of washing throughout the morning. It was here, briefly, and then disappeared. I don’t know if it left damage in its wake. I do know that the rivers have been rising over this week, and some bridges have been closed.
It’s been a bit damp.
As we were going in to town yesterday we drove through a sudden storm – nothing when we started, nothing when we stopped.
It was so heavy, at some points, that we couldn’t see the road.
This was when we were still in heavyish rain, but we could see blue skies and clear weather ahead.
Which was…a lot like life.
Blinding rain, and nothing to be seen ahead.
Or seeing the possibilities, while still in the storm
And, of course, coming out the other side and back into the sun!
We’re all somewhere on that journey.
