Also feeling like I’ve not been here for a bit.
Spring is dipping its toes in the forecast data, then dashing back out again.
It’s a bit like watching small children trying to get the courage to actually immerse themselves in the sea, rather than just paddling in the receding waves…
My plants are showing little shoots of green, but the flowers are still undecided on their timeline.
Thankfully, other gardens around town are more advanced.
From little green brush-like sprouts –
– to bright pink splashes of joy!
I’ve finished the painting I was working on.
Just as well, since the last day to enter it into the Ipswich Art Awards was yesterday.
I don’t know how it will stand up to all the other entries, but I’m happy to have got there 🙂
Every other year I’ve only realised the due date some number of days after it has been and gone.
Now I’ve just got to remember to take it in for display next month!
I’m not sure if there are rules about not showing the artworks to anybody before the exhibition.
So I’ll just share a blurred snippet here…
😂
A quiet day today, full of satisfaction. And books.
(also – some sugar)
All the washing dried, and I even had a good sleep last night.
Even if the weather couldn’t decide where it was going, I had a green, growing, spring-like day.
❤
