Finally, I have been able to harvest the first of our pawpaws…. this has been sitting on the verandah in the sun for three days… had to take it off a little bit early, to save it from being nibbled by snails…
We were beginning to think we’d never get an edible pawpaw from that tree….
… because they’ve been ripening FOR DECADES!!!!
*ahem*
….slight exaggeration….
Anyway, here’s what it looks like inside…
Not as orange as I’d hoped… smells OK though…
Looking forward to trying it π














Green pawpaws are great for cooking – especially Thai/Malaysian dishes.
