…of what I saw on my walk this morning –
A spider’s web at a garage sale I went to.
Gumnut flowers, just opened up, on the way home.
I don’t know what this is, but it called to me…
There were also a lot of feathers, of varying sizes, in various places. I picked up a couple and brought them home. Such a lovely morning for a walk!
It’s been a week of up and down – back and forth with Centrelink, second round of injections, resulting pain… it’s a good time to inject some laughter!
There’s a quote that says, “Earth laughs in flowers”, from a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson. In context, it’s not so warm and fuzzy, but as a separate line, it has a happy ring to it.
One of our neighbours has had some tall, green plants growing in their garden. With the recent rain, they’d grown straight and tall, but still just green. I’d thought they could be weeds, until one day, on my way to pick up the mail, I saw a lone flower smiling up at me…
Since then, more have popped up, and I wander past each day so I can smile back 😉
It’s been good to remember that the earth is smiling, in this season of rain and growth… and that somewhere, some time, the sun is still shining.
Noticed little flowers springing up in the grass while I was out walking the other day. Even though it was a grey, overcast day these little beauties smiled cheerily at me…
…and these were peeking out from the fences.
Some days are greyer than others, but it brightens the heart to be greeted by colour and joy in unexpected places!
To add to that, I was also gifted with some Australian flowers from a friend’s farm – joy all round 😉
There’s a lady at church who gives out flowers… lovely bunches of mixed flowers, to people having birthdays, or random others 😀 Yesterday I passed by the bucket filled with colour, and thought fleetingly that it would be lovely to take some home…
Five minutes later, there was a tap on my shoulder, and suddenly – flowers!
The deep red roses smell beautiful 😀 ,
and gerberas are so cheerful…
Then my littlest bean went visiting for the afternoon, and another friend gave him some sprigs of lavender to take home for me!
I feel blessed 😀
… and surrounded by colour and perfume…
a bit of creativity, a bit of eco consciousness, a bit of inspiration.... hopefully not a lot of pompousness and blathering :D
i'm not entirely sure what's going on here... let's travel along and see...
