I’ve not been well for a while, but today I got the chance to start on a course of herbs/vitamins/minerals… should clear things up and start me on the road to wellness π
Just as well, too.
I recently signed up to do a virtual half marathon. What’s that, you ask?
Well, it’s in honour of the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, and you get a cool running bib, and a Whovian medal at the end…
The money raised (entry fee) goes to help the Boston Marathon Victims Relief.
There are three categories –
1 mile kid’s race (US$10 entry fee)
5 mile race ($20)
Half marathon ($20)
The half marathon is just over 13 miles (or just over 21 kilometres) Thankfully, I don’t have to do it all at once – I can walk, and do it in stages – being virtual, I just check in with an update when I walk. I’ve figured out that our house is roughly 3.7 km from town, so that’s about six trips, or three times there and back. Now I’m going to be feeling better, should be a piece of cake. π
If you want to join in, you can sign up online –

…and don’t forget the actual 50th anniversary Β special –

GERONIMO!!! π
I had something else entirely planned for today…
But then I found THIS!!! (click here π )
Ever wanted to look round the TARDIS a bit?
Click on the double white arrows once you’re on the street view map..
You’re welcome π
… and I’m killing time..
Just did a quiz thingy – which Doctor Who companion am I?
Yayy! I’m Amy!!
Wrong colour hair, though. And accent.
It’s probably time to go to bed…
Went to the Ipswich Festival this afternoon, starting with the parade..
Littlest boy waiting for the parade to start.
Lots of people in town today..
The theme was Fairytales…
There were balloons..
..old bikes..
… and a dragon. Because, why not?
After the parade we caught up with some people we met last year, who happened to be in town and unexpectedly contacted us to meet up. They didn’t realise it was the festival.. we had an enjoyable evening, sharing pizza and catching up..
There were various attractions dotted about the mall, including “living statues”..
.. but this made my day!
ooooo-weee-oooooooo!
Another view. Just because.. π
Now, sometimes when I see the Tardis, there’s a little voice in my head that says, “THE ANGELS HAVE THE PHONE BOX!”
That’s OK, though, because there’s no sign of…
DON’T BLINK!!
Here’s the Angel in action…
There was a not-quite cyberwoman on a segway..
Because Ipswich is cool that way..
One of the friends we met up with bought a lightsaber, which gave me my last photo of the night.
There’s really nothing left to say..
