Having A Laugh

I’m still climbing out of the dark chasm of feeling-absolutely-horrible.
Probably sitting somewhere between ordinary-icky-take-a-rest and ooh-let’s-go-to-the-shops-(if-we-don’t-take-too-long) right now.
Biggest Boy is not too well at the moment, although his 4-in-1 test was also negative. So, we have/had something. Just not something with an easily identifiable name 😆
I’m able to read and watch YouTube (and enjoy both!) without overdoing it. I was even able to watch church online yesterday – yay! The week before it was too much to stay upright for that long…

The weather is still cooling, and I’m hoping to do some work this week. I’m booked for a Micro Business Skills course later in June, so it makes sense to get some work done towards the business itself!

No interesting photos to share.
I have a variety of views from my window (as seen from the bed), not sure anyone wants to see a range of cloud formations…
But I have a couple of new songs I’ve enjoyed over the weekend 😀

No Beyonce.
Enjoy anyway!

…and here’s a way to have a laugh at yourself, while gently teasing your fans…
(you’ll need to put the captions on [that little “CC” button on the bottom])

Here’s to a brighter week!

With interesting cloud formations.

A Taxing Time

I have finally got around to putting my tax return in! It’s one of those things that kept crossing my mind…except when I was online, where I could fill out the form and lodge it. In the end, it was easy, and I have avoided the fine I would have got if it was after October 31st.
Sometimes the easy things are harder than they seem…

Well, we’re still looking for a house – we get to the final stage, but then go no further. From what we can find out, it’s nothing to do with us personally, it’s just that there are too many people for too few places.
Still, I’m enjoying dreaming of how we would fit into each house we look at.

What with this, that, and the other (houses, taxes, Centrelink…) it’s sometimes hard to keep calm and carry on. Sometimes it’s a bit more like this –

Ok, maybe not quite like that.

My inner screaming is not that melodic.

We’ll get there, wherever there is meant to be.
In the meantime…

Following The Signposts

Time for another wander through YouTube!
I’ve been watching reaction videos lately – I enjoy seeing someone else falling in love with music I already know, and I also am introduced to music I’ve never come across before.
Watching random songs also means the recommendations can be…a bit different 🙂
Here’s an audition from The Voice South Africa – the song is the Click Song, sung in Xhosa, which I first heard sung by Miriam Makeba.

Next I had a look at a Kazakh singer called Dimash. I’ve seen a lot of reaction videos to him, and I know he’s known for having a very wide vocal range. I chose this song to share because of the added family sweetness 🙂

What next?
Maybe a bit of Georgian dancing?
(This is more of a mini documentary, and some dissent in the YouTube comments about the accuracy of some of the history)

Some Irish dancing to finish!
(also a bit of a mini documentary…)

Dance!
Sing!
…and wander down a different path sometimes – see what the signposts say.
