I’ve been trying to cram a lot of technical language into my head lately, which has resulted in me muttering things like “proximal/distal… medial/lateral…cephalic/caudal… INTEGUMENTARY!!” at odd moments. There always seems to be more to figure out..
I’m learning about the body, how it fits together, how it functions..

*not an accurate representation of the human body*
I spent a while writing out notes… and then took a bit of time to read my Bible reading for the day..
It was Corinthians 12:12-27 😀 , which starts off  –
“You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has
many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the
same with Christ. ..”

It’s something to think about… I’ve always understood the analogy – it’s pretty obvious – but my studies so far have
added another level… our bodies exist in homeostasis, an internal environment that must be kept within narrow limits
for good health… variations, even if they are not recognised for some time, can lead to disease and eventually death..
Each part of the body plays some role in keeping that “steady state” – no part is less important than another. The “more
presentable” parts need the “less presentable” – they can’t survive without each other. Each part is precisely formed and
set in place to do the job it’s meant to do…
Have you ever looked around at others in your part of the body of Christ and wondered what they’re doing there? I don’t
think many of us would verbalise that to ourselves… but do we act as though that’s what we think? We all have a
purpose and plan… and we won’t survive without each other!
