Just a look at a site pointed out to me by a friend… not Christian (or Jewish) based, but an interesting look at the importance placed on a “Sabbath rest” by a range of people.

The other day I was looking through my bible, especially at some verses that were recommended to me….
I read Psalm 18, which starts… “I love you, God – you make me strong. God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight.”… basically how God loves and defends me…
I was still feeling down, so I did what I don’t usually do – the “open the bible at random and see what God says” thing. I had a lovely read through Colossians, then thought I would look at the Old Testament again. I opened up at 2 Samuel 22, which starts, “God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight.”…. 😀 I figured God was telling me something 😀
My favourite parts (Message version) –
“They hit me when I was down,
but God stuck by me.
He stood me up on a wide-open field;
I stood there saved- surprised to be loved!
God made my life complete
when I placed all the pieces before Him.” (vs 18 – 20)
“God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.” (vs 24)

sometimes i don’t feel it…. you know – there but not…..
but i do….

a bit of creativity, a bit of eco consciousness, a bit of inspiration.... hopefully not a lot of pompousness and blathering :D
