Theme Songs

Sometimes in your life, there are certain songs that sum up how you feel a large part of the time… for a long time, this was mine..

I was a melancholy child…

I still have “rock” days… sometimes things overwhelm me… but that’s not who I am anymore..

..and it’s not true, by the way.
Rocks feel a great deal of pain.
Islands cry buckets.
Just not where anyone can see them..

… but
One day, I finally realised that Jesus loved me..
and this became my theme song.

I didn’t find that song until later, though..

This was the song I played over and over, 18 years ago..

Whatever happens in my life, I am loved…
it still hurts, when there are people I want to care, and who just… don’t.
But I am never alone.
And my theme is joy!
